Every time I get ready to read a Meghan March book, I know I'm going to get a fantastic story, whether it be something humorous (Dirty Billionaire Trilogy) or something emotional (Beneath Series). So I was properly excited to finally get my eyeballs on this first book in her new trilogy, and let me tell you, I was NOT disappointed. It's safe to say this book has moved into my top 3 favorites by MM.
I knew from the synopsis I was going to be in for an entertaining read, but this actually surpassed what I was expecting. The story is pretty much straightforward, but there are a couple of twists thrown in. Not a lot of secondary characters, but the ones we meet do contribute to the story in some type of fashion.
I love Keira's best friend Magnolia, that woman keeps it real, and I liked that Keira and she stayed best friends over the years, despite the differences in their lifestyles. Keira obviously has enough business smarts, but not quite so much in her personal life, hence the situation she finds herself in at the start of the book. I will say that there were a few times I wanted to shake some sense into Keira, her actions drove me bonkers at certain points. As for Mount, we do see how ruthless he can be, and there's a small tidbit thrown out in the story about what his life was like growing up, but other than that, we don't get to know much about him and I'm hoping we'll get more about him in the upcoming books.
With most books the main couple have good chemistry, but what we get with Keira and Mount is hovering somewhere around the nuclear level, it's that hot. The sexy times between them are explosive each time they happen!

That ending tho! The last two chapters took a hard left turn onto WTF Avenue and now I'm seriously marking off the days on a calendar until I can get the next part of this story!
